Jill is a leader and visionary in her industry. After graduating from Clemson in 1991, she returned to her native Kentucky to eventually build both successful catering and events businesses: Bluegrass Catering, Inc. and 903 Venues.
It was only natural, being a history buff, that Jill began researching the history of Old Tarr Bourbon, which originated on the same property where her venues stand today.
Resurrecting the Old Wm. Tarr bourbon label as a women-led enterprise in 2020 is a true honor for Jill. "We are holding the baton of bourbon history, preserving Kentucky’s legends for all to inherit.”

Barry has been active in the local business community for the last 30+ years. His career started in healthcare - first as a field medic in the 1st Marine Division, then as an RN - before evolving into medical and pharmaceutical device sales, and eventually digital marketing.
After enjoying bourbon at an early (legal) age, Barry's appreciation grew when he started spending time with local bourbon groups, including the Lexington Bourbon Society, for whom he served on the board of directors. Barry met Jill while working on digital marketing campaigns for her other businesses, and quickly discovered their shared appreciation for bourbon history. Both felt that Lexington deserved to have this history reclaimed, and they set out surrounding themselves with refined partners and industry consultants.
From day 1, Barry has felt a supernatural presence that he believes could be William Tarr, helping open doors and get the distillery back up and running after being shuttered for decades.
Baker is the former CEO of eCorporation, Inc., a leading venture backed technology incubator headquartered in Lexington. eCorp launched 15 dot coms including; Cyberia Music, YouSendit, Edulab, ConnectedCampus, Travelago and Rovion. The company grew from 3 employees to 166 employees during that time period.
A long time environmentalist, Baker created several water saving inventions that were distributed in the US, Israel and throughout Europe. He is the author of best-selling book, “The 7-Minute Organic Garden” and the eco-thriller, “The Life Engine”.
He attended Morehead State University, The University of Kentucky, the Rochester School of Music and The Chicago Culinary Institute (CCI).
Green is an accomplished financial executive with a proven ability to implement financial strategies and processes that lead to higher net income, positive cash flow and attractive ROI. He served as an executive and consultant (Director of Accounting & Financial Outsourcing) at a regional public accounting firm. In that role, Mr. Green helped closely-held businesses move to the cloud in order to take advantage of accounting automation tools – saving clients significant time and money. He also served as interim CFO for Kentucky One Healthcare System.
VP of Operations
has a diverse 40 year career in beverage alcohol operations centered primarily on Bourbon Whiskey. His previous experience included 33 years with a major domestic and international spirit company, Beam Inc., in management leadership roles as VP Global Supply Chain, VP New Product Commercialization, and Sr. Director North America Procurement.
Don holds a master’s degree in Business Management from Bellarmine University Louisville, KY and undergraduate degree in Biological Science from Indiana University Bloomington, IN.
Marketing & Communications
From joint nutraceuticals and Big Ass Fans, to higher education and real estate, and recreational volleyball and axe-throwing, Morgan has worked across a spectrum of industries throughout her career! The common thread is an affinity for marketing, business development, and making known the distinct offerings of the Bluegrass.
Morgan received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and her Master's from Walden University, both in marketing. Developing an extensive network of colleagues and friends by way of ongoing service as a board member of the Makenna Foundation and participation in local Yelp events led her to meet Barry, and the rest is history!
The opportunity to help resurrect Wm. Tarr Distillery is a unique challenge and pleasure, and she can't wait to introduce the brand to Lexington!
